Well.. well..well!!! The day has just begun. I just read a mail saying that my visa application for German Travel was accepted.
I was totally new to machines when I joined Bosch. And its been 11 months now. Anyone working at Bosch can fall in love with cars. People talk, walk, eat, drink and laugh cars here. Its not just because we work on them, for them, but we live by them. We breathe life into these machines. We give them more power and intelligence. And in a way, we talk to them, listen to them and feel them!
The car mania hit me a year ago, after a drive back home on my friends' bike. And thats what gets me excited when I talk about going to Germany. I'm not sure of how I'm going to plan my weekends for 6 whole months, but I'm determined to go around and cover entire Europe. The Shengen visa does allow me to visit 15 countries including Deutschland. So, hope I keep up to my word and have a good time!
Well, as for the expectations, I've kept them as low as possible. I've heard dreadful things like - the water is harder than you can ever imagine, water costs more than beer, one ends up spending more on water than on anything else, you aren't accepted if you can't speak german, Indian food costs a fortune, some cars like Porshe can be rented only if one is over 25 years of age, the temperature gets negative in winter etc...
I've just got my fingers 'X'ed!!!
